Margaret Brennan “Peggy”

Former Livonia resident

Margaret Brennan “Peggy”, 83, of Arlington, Va. died March 1, 2003 in Reston, Va. She was born April 27, 1919 in Rochester, the daughter of the late Patrick and the late Margaret (Lavery) Brennan of Rochester and Livonia. Peggy went to Washington, D.C. in 1943 where she worked for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. House of Representatives as a payroll officer until her retirement in the early 1970s. She is survived by her sister Patricia B. Naylon of Rochester; nephews, Col. Michael (Beverly) Naylon of Reston, Va., Edward (Giannina) M. Naylon Jr. of Fairport; niece Anne (David) Shanahan of Derwood, Maryland, Patrick (Jane) Naylon of Rochester; lifelong friends, Alice Vass, Nell Harris, Mary Harris of Virginia; 11 great nieces and nephews and seven great great nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hospice of Northern Virginia Loudon Clinical Office, 209 Gibson St., Leesburg VA 20176. Peggy's Funeral Mass will be Saturday, March 29, 2003 at 10 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church, Livonia. Burial will be in St. Michael's Cemetery, Livonia. Reference: Henry D. Halloran Son, Inc. Elisabeth P. Green

Strong Hospital lab technician

Elisabeth P. Green, 97, died March 24, 2003 at Thompson Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua. She was formerly of Buffalo, Penn Yan and Rochester. She was born the daughter of John and Alice Curtis Perkins of Feb. 22, 1906 in Penn Yan. She was a lab technician at Strong Memorial Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Francis in 1980. She is survived by her children, John (Jane) Green of Honeoye, Alice (Al) Amos of Olmstead Falls, Ohio, Gretchen (Dave) Comfort of Schuyler Falls, N.Y.; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Service, at the convenience of the family. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the Lollypop Farms, 99 Victor Road, Fairport NY 14450 or to Mercy Flight Central, 2420 Brickyard Road, Canandaigua NY 14424. Russell F. Robinson

World War II Army Veteran

Russell F. Robinson, 87, of Avon, died on March 13, 2003 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. He was born on Aug. 10, 1915 in South Lima, the son of John L. Robinson and Louise (Patterson) Robinson. He was a retired supervisor for the Rochester Telephone Company. He was a World War II Army veteran and a member of the Avon American Legion and VFW posts. He was a former POW during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Henrietta “Hank” Robinson of Avon; two sons, James Robinson, Mark (Maggie) Robinson; two daughters, Linda Krebbeks, Barbara (Steve) Moore; eight grandchildren, Mark C. Robinson, Christopher Robinson, J. Rachel (Tim) Robinson, Patrick Krebbeks, Kimberlee Krebbeks, Katie Moore, Molly Moore, Michael Moore; sister Ruth Clark; several nieces and nephews. Calling hours and Funeral Services were held at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. in Avon with Rev. David Cole officiating. Interment, Avon Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Avon Free Library, 143 Genesee St., Avon NY 14414, Central Presbyterian Church, 133 Genesee St., Avon NY 14414 or the Avon Rotary-Lions Volunteer Ambulance, 60 Temple St., Avon NY 14414 in his memory.
