Richard J. Carpino

Electrical inspector

Richard J. Carpino, 64, of Caledonia, died March 27, 2006 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester. He was born Dec. 8, 1941 in Rochester to Andrew and Carmella Carpino. Richard was an electrical inspector for Middle Department Inspection Agency, Rochester. He is survived by wife Judy; children, Steven, Christopher (Nancy), Douglas (Vicki) Carpino; 10 grandchildren; mother, Carmella Carpino; sister, Marlene Carpino, sister-in-law, Janice Carpino; several nieces and nephews. His brother, Sonny Carpino predeceases Richard. Friends called March 29 at Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St. in Caledonia. His Funeral Service was held March 30 at St. Columba Church. A private interment was held. George A. Cole

Avon - George A. Cole, 76, died peacefully on March 28, 2006 at the Episcopal Church Home in Rochester surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Cole was born on Aug. 30, 1929 in Avon, the son of Alfred and Mary (Jackson) Cole. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Cole; sister Mary Lou Davin; and daughter Ellen Vail. George owned and operated Cole Sand and Gravel in Caledonia. He was a past member of the Avon Lions Club. He is survived by his wife Carol (Finity) Cole; daughters, Connie Watkins, Vicky (Bill) Baierschmitt; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; brother Alfred “Tim” (Donna) Cole; sisters, Gladys D'Angelo, Gloria (Jim) Gaffney, June (Ed) Hall; Jackie (Al) DeCook; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Calling hours were held March 31 at the Stephenson Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. in Avon. His Funeral Mass was held April 1 with Rev. Jerry Appelby officiating. Interment, St. Agnes Cemetery in Avon. James M. Cosimano

West Sparta resident

James M. Cosimano, 76, of 7546 Dansville-Mt. Morris Road, West Sparta, died April 2, 2006 at the Teresa House in Geneseo. He was born of Nov. 14, 1929 in Mt. Morris, the son of Augustine and Mary (LoFaso) Cosimano. Prior to his retirement he was employed by the Laborers Union in Rochester. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha; four children, James J. (Mary) Cosimano, Dominick (Laurie) Cosimano, Venessa (Bill) Bennett, all of West Sparta and Margaret Darwin Coobs) Hardy of Leicester; eight grandchildren, Kyle, Michael, Stacey, Dustin, Marie, Chrissy, Heather and Tasha; and one great granddaughter Paige; two sisters, Margaret Sherner of Mt. Morris and Frances Passamonte of Mt. Morris; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law James Hardy in 1986. Friends called Tuesday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408) in Mt. Morris where Funeral Services were held Wednesday with Deacon George Spezzano officiating. Margaret Helen Holliday

Caledonia resident

Margaret Helen Holliday, 94, of Caledonia, died March 31, 2006 at LeRoy Village Green, LeRoy. She was born Jan. 6, 1912 in Endeavor, Wisconsin to John and Lucie Richardson. She retired in 1977 from Allen-Bailey Tag & Label Co., Caledonia after 42 years of service. She was a member of the Senior Citizens, and enjoyed traveling, and playing cards. Margaret is survived by her sisters, Violet Miller of N. Chili, Edith Shepard of Bergen, Gracia (Calvin) Stewart of Arkansas; brother, James Richardson of Nevada; several nieces and nephews. Friends called April 3, at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St. in Caledonia where her funeral service was held Tuesday. Her interment was held at Mumford Rural Cemetery. Bernard Munger

Dalton resident

Bernard Munger, 82, of Allegany County Road #24, Dalton, died March 30, 2006 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. He was born the son of Ira and Isla (Heath) Munger on April 9, 1923 in Batavia. Prior to his retirement he was employed as a machinist at Chapin Manufacturing in Batavia. He is survived by his two children, Lawrence (Pam) Munger of Dalton and Colleen (Michael) Husted of Batavia; five grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son George in 1976. Friends called Saturday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408) in Mt. Morris where Funeral Services were held Saturday with Deacon George Spezzano officiating. Marion C. Nobles “Stub”, 86, of Caledonia, died March 29, 2006 at the Teresa House, Geneseo. The son of William A. and Gladys Nobles, Stub was born Oct. 10, 1919 in Whitesville, NY. He retired from Lapp Insulator, LeRoy. He is survived by his children, Laurelie (Alan) Sickles, Claude “Butch” (Kim), Merville Nobles; 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. His wife, Ruth and son, Charles Nobles predeceases Marion. Friends called April 1 at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St. in Caledonia where his funeral service followed calling. James R. Westacott

U.S. Army veteran

James R. Westacott, 64, of Plantation, Fla. and Caledonia, died March 23, 2006 at Memorial Pembroke Hospital, Pembroke, Fla. He was born July 24, 1941 in North Tonawanda, N.Y. to Henry and Jessie Westacott. Mr. Westacott served in the US Army. He owned and operated Westacott Truck and Equipment in Rochester before his retirement. He is survived by his wife, Jane of Plantation, Fla.; daughter and son-in-law, Lana and Patrick Urban; grandson, Alec Urban, all of Florida; brothers, George (Beverly) of Florida, Paul (Diane) of Lockport, N.Y., Jerry (Linda) of Wayland, Harry (Sharon) of Florida, Bill (Donna) Westacott of Florida; several nieces and nephews. His son, Steven predeceased James. Friends called March 26, at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St. in Caledonia where his Funeral Service was held March 27.
