Ruth M. Cregan

Ruth M. Cregan, 72, formerly of Hornell died Sunday April 15, 2001 in Rochester General Hospital after a brief illness. Ruth was born July 2, 1928 in Rexville, New York the daughter of Thomas and Catherine Mahoney and was a Hornell resident most of her life. She married William Cregan August 30, 1952 in Hornell he pre-Deceased her in 1999. Ruth was a secretary for the Law Firm of Shults & Shults in Hornell for over 30 years. After retiring 15 years ago she and her husband William, resided winters in Clearwater, Fla. and Summers at Loon Lake. Pre-Deceased by her Husband William. She is survived by her beloved children; Cynthia & Kenneth Nield and Daniel Cregan/ Christine Davey all of Rochester. 1 Grandchild Ciara Cregan. Friends called Tuesday at the St. George-Stanton Funeral Home in Wayland. A prayer service was conducted on Wednesday in the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Josephs Church, Wayland. Interment Lakeside Cemetery Loon Lake.

Madeline Florence Dale

Madeline Florence Dale age 66 of Bald Hill Road, Hemlock died peacefully Sunday April 15, 2001 at her home with the love and support of her family. She was born daughter of Healy and Mabel Fraver Bates on November 21, 1934 in Bath, NY. She is survived by her children Darwin (Clara) Dale Jr., Sheila (John) McCart, Vicki Perry, Jeffery (Sharon) Dale, Melissa Brisbane. Grandchildren Stacey, Sarah, Samantha, David and Ann Dale. Justin, Austin, Kristin Perry, Danielle and Ryan Brisbane. Sisters Joyce White and Margaret Wilkinson. Friends may call Tuesday 4-8 p.m. at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Route 15, Livonia where her funeral service will be held Wednesday 10 a.m. with the Rev. Elizabeth Boesen officiating. Burial Union Cemetery, Livonia. Reginald J. MacDonald

Reginald J. MacDonald died suddenly at his home in Fowlerville on April 12, 2001, at the age of 70. He was predeceased by grandson, Joshua MacDonald. He leaves his wife, Katherine Dillon MacDonald; son, Reginald James MacDonald II, FL; a daughter, Kathy Jo MacDonald, W. Virginia; granddaughter, Ella Kate MacDonald; 2 brothers, Clifford, FL, and Herman, Dover, DE; 2 sisters, Thelma Falcone, LeRoy, and Ann Dillon, Fowlerville. Mr. MacDonald was born in Caledonia on October 15, 1930, the son of William MacDonald and Cordelia Crowe MacDonald. He had been employed as a tool and die maker with South Co. in Honeoye Falls, NY. For hobbies, he enjoyed painting, and was also a beekeeper. Friends called Monday at the Alhart Funeral Home, Caledonia, where the Avon Chapter 455, Odd Fellows held a service. Graveside service held Tuesday in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Fowlerville.

Helen R. Nagle

Helen R. Nagle 85 of 34 Crestwood Cr., Dansville died Monday, April 16, 2001 in Noyes Memorial Hospital, Dansville after a short illness. Helen was born May 12, 1915 in Dansville the Daughter of Stephen and Mary Karlinowfski Rauber and was a Dansville resident all of her life. She married Richard A. Nagle on April 14, 1937 in St. Marys Church, Dansville. Helen was a Librarian/Aide and a Secretary in the Dansville Central School System for over 16 years retiring in 1974. She also was a Tax Collector for Dansville for many years. A communicant of St. Marys Church in Dansville she also was a Member of the Christians Mother Society and a member of the Women of the Moose Club in Dansville. Helen was Predeceased by her Husband; Richard Nagle in 1981. 2 Sons: William Nagle in 1993 and Laurence Nagle in 1998. 1 Brother: Vincent Rauber in 1997. Survived by 1 Daughter: Mary T. (Douglas) Sick of Cohocton. 6 Sons: Robert J. (Carol Lee) Nagle of Honeoye Falls, Dave R. (Barbara) Nagle of Dansville, John E. (Kathleen) Nagle of Dansville. 2 Sisters: Viola Bricks of Perkinsville and Florence Goodell of Dansville. 26 Grand Children and 16 Great Grand Children. Several Nieces and Nephews. Friends may call 2-4 &7-9 Wednesday at the St. Geoge-Stanton Funeral Home, 109 West Naples Street, Wayland, New York. A prayer Service will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. Thursday in the Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Marys Catholic Church, Dansville. Internment Holy Cross Cemetery, Dansville. Those wishing may make contributions in Helen's name to the American Cancer Fund or the Dansville Ambulance Corps.

Jackson W. Osborne

Jackson W. Osborne, 73, of 2 Country Club Road, East Rochester, died April 11, 2001 at the Canandaigua VA Medical Center. He was born the son of Harold and Hazel (Brooks) Osborne on Aug. 25, 1927, in Rochester. Prior to his retirement in 1981 he was employed as an engineer for Monroe County Department of Works for 33 years. He was a veteran of the Merchant Marines in World War II and the Army Reserve during the Korean War. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Veterans of Foreign Wars and also life member of the National Rifle Association. He received the Russian Victory medal for his duty in Murmansk, Russia. He is survived by his wife Anne Marie (Turner) Osborne; three children, Allan (Liz Konar) Osborne of Pittsford, Kathryn (Howard) Morita of Webster and Amy Elizabeth Osborne of East Rochester; two grandchildren, Gabe and Adam; one sister, Mary E. Supplee of Florida; Aunt Betty Anne Osborne of Rochester and one cousin, Donald Osborne of Rochester. No prior calling. Services and interment to be held at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 15, P.O. Box 60783, Rochester NY 14606 or Camp HACCAMO, 125 Panorama Trail, Penfield NY 14625. Arrangements by the John W. Evelyn P. Swartz (Patterson)

Evelyn P. Swartz (Patterson) age 79 of Apollo Beach, FL, formerly of Hemlock, NY died Monday April 9, 2001 at South Bay Hospital in Sun City Center, FL. She was born the daughter of Harmon and Violet Rittenhouse Gray on July 26, 1921 in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her 1st husband Carson “Jack” Patterson and her daughter Sylvia Patterson. She is survived by her husband Charles B. Swartz of Florida, son and daughter in law Gary and Elsie Patterson of Lima. Stepchildren Kathy (Ray) Buckman of Hammond, NY, Charles P. (Mary) Swartz of Lisbon, NY, Beverly (Gary) Ochsenhirt of Deland, FL. Granddaughter Cheryl (John) Lavery of Livonia. Step grandchildren Bonnie (Christopher) Nesbitt of Maine, Donna Buckmand of KS, David Buckman of Ogdensburg, NY, Tinika Buckman of TX, Colby (Beth) Ochsenhirt of FL, Jamie Ochsenhirt of FL. Great grandchildren Meghan and Brendan Lavery of Livonia, Step great grandchildren Jacob Ochsenhirt of FL. Joyce Carol (Howard) Greene of CO, Brother, Wendall Gray of CO. Agnes P. Quattrocchi

Agnes P. Quattrocchi, age 72, of Big Tree St. Livonia died Saturday April 14, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born the daughter of Dominic and Jennie Cicero Quattrocchi on March 24, 1929 in Livonia, NY. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Livonia and the Livingston County Chamber of Commerce. She is survived by her sister Mary (Charles) Desjardins of CA, nephew Robert (Kathy) Boyer of Piffard, niece Suzanne M. Desjardins of CA. Grandnieces Mandy and Jennifer Boyer of Piffard. Many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins. Friends called Wednesday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. Her funeral mass was held Thursday at St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. John H. Margaret Freeman Stoddard

Margaret Freeman Stoddard, of Mumford, NY, died April 11, 2001, after a long illness, at the age of 88. She died in Adrian, MI, where she had been staying with her granddaughter. She leaves 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Mrs. John (Betsy) Papcun, Port Clinton, OH, and Mrs. John (Judy) Ball, Calidonia, NY; 8 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild; her sister, Mary Zimmerman, LeRoy; brother, Donald Freeman, Tonawanda, NY, several nieces and nephews. [Predeceased by her husband, Charles Stoddard , her brothers, Eugene, Robert, John L. and Herbert, and one great-granddaughter.] Margaret was born January 18, 1913 in Wheatland, the daughter of John L. Freeman and Eva Yawman. She worked in the Mumford Library for many years and was employed as a proofreader at Specialized Printed Forms in Caledonia. She had attended college in Geneseo. A member of St. Columba-St. Patrick parish, she was a member of the Rosary Society of the church. Friends may call Tuesday 2-4, 7-9 at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 Main St., Caledonia. Funeral Mass on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Columbia Church, North St., Caledonia. Interment in Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Mumford Library or to Caledonia Ambulance Service.
