Henry 'Harry' Adamson Jr.

Retired Groveland Highway Superintendent

Henry Adamson Jr., 95, died May 4, 2003. He born April 17, 1908, in Antrim County, Belfast, Ireland. He and his family landed in the United States on the White Star Liner Celtic, May 31, 1909 and settled in Groveland soon after. He was the Town of Groveland Highway superintendent for many years until his retirement on Dec. 30, 1970. He enjoyed harness racing and owned several horses. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Quait Adamson on Jan. 7, 1977. He is survived by one son, Jerry (Peggy) Adamson of Groveland; three grandchildren, Shawn Adamson, Amy Marnon and Tracy (Jeff) Guldenschuh; five great grandchildren, Tiffany Adamson, Samantha and Kelsey Marnon, Christopher and Conner Guldenschuh; two sisters, Gertrude Meyer of Groveland and Mary Spencer of Geneseo; one brother, Herman Adamson of Groveland; and dear friend, Elizabeth Perkins of Conesus. Calling hours were held Tuesday. Funeral was held Wednesday morning at Rector-Hicks Funeral Home in Geneseo. Mary N. Mastin

St. Patrick's Church Member

Mary N. Mastin, 89, of 27 Genesee St., Mt. Morris died May 6, 2003 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. She was born on Sept. 8, 1913 in Leicester, the daughter of George and Margaret (Commiskey) Nichols. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mt. Morris, Mt. Morris Senior Citizens Group and the Women of the Moose, Dansville Chapter #670. She was predeceased by her husband Addison on July 19, 1996. She is survived by several nieces and nephews including Gwen Constantino of Lakeville, Matthew Nichols of Maryland, Deanna and Stanley Mastin of Dansville. Friends may call Thursday 6-8 pm at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408), Mt. Morris where prayers will be said Friday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 at St. Patrick's Church in Mt. Morris with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Interment, St. Patrick's Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Morris Ambulance Fund, St. Patrick's Home & Heart Fund or the Mt. Morris Nutrition Program.

Patti Ann Twist-Keller

Honeoye resident

Patti Ann Twist-Keller, 45, of East Main St. in Honeoye, died April 29, 2003 at her home. She was born the daughter of Adrian and Mary Lincoln Twist on April 11, 1958 in Rochester. She was predeceased by her sister Terry and niece Melissa Twist. She is survived by her daughters, Terra and Stephanie Keller; her parents, Adrian and Mary Twist; brothers, Adrian (Barb) Twist, John Twist, Stephen Twist, Guy White and Paul Twist; several nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Friends may attend a memorial service on Saturday, May 17 at 12:30 p.m. at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 259 Rutgers St. in Rochester. Ethel Paul

Self employed housekeeper

Ethel Paul, 90, of 8276 Short Tract Road, Mt. Morris-Nunda, died Feb. 13, 2003 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. She was born the daughter of James A. and Anna (Bahr) Paul on May 17, 1912 in New York City. Prior to her retirement she was a self employed housekeeper in the Wayland area for many years. She was a member and former resident of the Kings Daughters in Dansville. She is survived by her sister-in-law Jean Paul of MA.; nephews and many dear and loving friends including Patricia and Irving Austin of Nunda. No prior calling. Memorial Service to be held Friday, May 9 at 10 a.m. at the Elim Gospel Church, Main St., Mt. Morris. Memorials may be made to the Kings Daughters, Health St., Dansville NY 14437. Jeanie D. Quackenbush

Jeanie D. Quackenbush, 87, died May 3, 2003 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. She was born in Leicester the daughter of William Dempsey Sr. and Margaret (Steele) Dempsey. She was a retired secretary for the Livingston County Office for the Aging. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church and the bowling league. She was predeceased by her husband Harland S. Quackenbush and son Harland G. Quackenbush. She is survived by her children, Kay Henderson of Avon, Larry (Chris) Quackenbush of Avon; daughter -in-law Deanna Quackenbush of Florida; 11 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; brother Henry Dempsey of Scottsville; sister Dorothy Davis of Maine; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Calling hours and Funeral Services were held at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., in Avon with Rev. Carin Farmer officiating. Interment, Union Cemetery in Livonia. Ernest Wheeler

Ernest Wheeler, 75, of 134 Main St. in Leicester, died May 5, 2003 at the Livingston County Campus Skilled Nursing Facility in Mt. Morris. He was born the son of Isaiah and Florence (Hassan) Wheeler on Aug. 7, 1927 in Lebanon, N.Y. He was a veteran during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at Chittendens Lumber in New Lebanon, N.Y. until he was disabled in 1968. He had resided at the Elijah House in Leicester for many years. He is survived by six children, Sharon Baiardi and Joseph Wheeler, both of Florida, Linda Wetherell and Ernest Wheeler, both of Texas, Keith Wheeler of Red Hook, N.Y. and Terry Elliott of Tennessee; 13 grandchildren; three great grandchildren and one great great grandson; one sister Florence Pratt of Wisconsin; nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Private interment services to be held at the Bath National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Elijah House, 134 Main St., Leicester NY 14481. Arrangements by the John W.
