Donald A. Kime

Fowlerville - Donald A. Kime, 65, died on May 25, 2006 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mr. Kime was born on May 3, 1941 in Rochester the son of Clayton and Nina Kime. Don was treasurer of the GHS-YCS Alumni Association, a member of the United Presbyterian Stone Church, the Farm Bureau; the NRA, and past member of the York Volunteer Fire Department. He also was a former EMT instructor. He loved to square dance, play the guitar, sing and was an avid train enthusiast. He is survived by his sister Dorothy Kime; special friend Jeanne Kyle; cousins; many friends. Memorial services were held May 30 at the United Presbyterian Stone Church in Caledonia. Private interment, Mumford Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Stone Church, 3177 Church St., Caledonia NY 14423 or the York Fire Department Ambulance, P.O. Box 95, York NY 14592. John T. Milliman Sr.

Avon - John T. Milliman Sr., 64, died on May 24, 2006 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mr. Milliman was born on Aug. 27, 1941 in Rochester the son of Ellsworth Milliman and Margaret (Fosdick) Judd. Predeceased by his brother Richard Judd. John retired in 2001 from Gillett Machine & Tool. He served the Livingston, Monroe communities as a volunteer firefighter and in the EMS service for over three decades. He received many commendations, awards and held many offices during his career. He was an active member of the East Avon Fire Department, Avon Ambulance, Livingston County Critical Incident Stress Management Team, LCVFP Association, NYS Association of Fire Chaplains, Gates Exempts and FASNY. John served as chaplain for the County Association as well as East Avon Fire Department. He belonged to many county and state organizations. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Judy (Tarrant) Milliman; his daughters, Debbie (Fred) Cowley, Darlene (Marty Barker) Cator, Traci (David) Thompson, Patricia (Aldrich) Strong; sons; John T. Milliman Jr., Cliff (Michele) Aldrich; 10 grandchildren, K.C., Sylvia, Jessica, Eric, Andrew, Haley, Melissa, Zachary, Ryan and Mason; sisters, Mary Gail Cook, Karen (Larry) McCrae; nieces, nephews; cousin Charles (Joyce) Fosdick; his extended family and all his fellow fire and EMS brothers and sisters. Calling hours were held May 30 and May 31 at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., 350 Genesee St. in Avon. His Funeral Mass is June 1 at 4 p.m. at the Zion Episcopal Church in Avon with Rev. Mark Stiegler officiating. Private interment, Avon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the John T. Milliman Firefighter's Education Fund, c/o East Avon Fire Department, PO Box 358, Avon NY 14414.

John K. Wennberg

U.S. Navy veteran

John K. Wennberg, 65, a retired registered nurse at Craig Colony in Sonyea, died May 26, 2006 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mr. Wennberg resided in Sebring, Florida and was previously from Leicester. He is survived by three children, Jennifer (Mark) Lubanski of Leicester, Jodie Wennberg of San Francisco, Calif., Jamie (Brad) McClain of Piffard; grandchildren, Troy and Kimberly Lubanski of Leicester, Gemini and Gannon McClain of Piffard; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was born May 30, 1940 in Jamestown, N.Y. the son of Paul and Eva Martenson Wennberg. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 55 in Sebring, Fla. and a former member of the Sonyea American Legion. He belonged to the Rochester Local Carpenters Union and was an avid golfer. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on May 30 where Funeral Services were held Wednesday with Pastor David Missel of the Union Presbyterian Church of Leicester officiating. Graveside services were held Wednesday in Oakwood Cemetery in Nunda. Memorials may be made to Union Presbyterian Church, Main St., Leicester NY 14481.
