Robert W. Gross

Geneseo resident

Robert W. Gross, 58, of Polebridge Road in Geneseo, died June 30, 2004 at his residence. Bob worked at Genesee Truck Sales in Henrietta from 1986 to 2004. He was instrumental with the team running the Service Department. He was very much a family man, always involved with his children and grandchildren's activities. He was a kind and generous man, always ready with a joke. He will be greatly missed by all. He is survived by his wife Charlene Hubbard Gross; daughters, Virginia (Roger) Gross of South Bristol, Barbara (Timmy) Guck of LeRoy, Brenda Johnson of LeRoy; grandchildren, Zeth and Mikayla Johnson, Amanda, Emily and Evan Guck and Ashley Abbey; father Robert F. Gross of Florida; father-in-law Floyd Hubbard of Geneseo; one sister; two brothers; many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was born Feb. 6, 1946 in Washington, D.C., the son of Robert and Mary (Scannell) Gross. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Friday. Funeral Services were held July 3 at St. Mary's Church in Geneseo. Burial, St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo. Memorials may be made to Livingston County Hospice, Livingston County Campus Bldg. #2, Mt. Morris, N.Y. 14510 or the Wilmont Cancer Center, 601 Elmwood Ave., Rochester NY 14642.

 

Frances C. Heinen

Former Sibley's manager

Frances C. Heinen, 92, of Avon, formerly of Henrietta, died June 28, 2004 at the Avon Nursing Home. She was born the daughter of Charles Oliver and Estella Grovenger McGuire on Feb. 6, 1912 in Troy, N.Y. Fran was a Divisional Manager for the Sibley's Store in Webster. She was predeceased by her husband M. Edwin Heinen on Oct. 15, 1987. She is survived by her children, Lynee (Fredrick) Helmbold Jr. of Avon, Gary E. Heinen of Webster; grandchildren, Kristen (Dennis) Brechko of MI, Fritz (Lorie) Helmbold of Avon, Rachel Heinen of Webster, Nicholas (Jessica) Heinen of Webster; sister Olive Payette of Cohoes, N.Y.; several nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Services will be at the convenience of the family. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the Golisiano Children's Hospital Critical Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital. Arrangements by Kevin W.
