Charles L. Beaty “Chuck”

Charles L. Beaty “Chuck”, 73, of West Lake Road, died Oct. 1, 2002 at his home. He was born the son of Leo and Caroline Smith Beaty on Feb. 24, 1929 in Greece, N.Y. He was a dairy farmer in Greece for most of his life. He was also a courier for Greece Central School. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo. He was predeceased by his brother James Beaty. He is survived by his wife Constance “Connie”; his children, David (Diane) Beaty, Daniel (Sally) Beaty, Eileen (Frank) Vito, Patricia (Robert) Reis, Joseph (Nancy) Beaty; 14 grandchildren; sisters, Ruth Lisson, Grace “Hilda” (William) Mulroy, Mabel (Robert) Kasper, Margaret (Harry) Scorse, Beatrice (John) Eichas and Vera Tetlow; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Thursday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15 in Livonia. His Funeral Mass was held Friday at St. Mary's Church in Geneseo with the Rev. Dan McMullin officiating. Arthur P. Bovill

Arthur P. Bovill, 94, a retired technician at Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, died Oct. 4, 2002 at The Brightonian Convalescent Care Center in Rochester. Mr. Bovill resided at Sheridan Court in Pittsford prior to his entry into the nursing home last year. He is survived by his wife Agnes Dykes Bovill of Pittsford; brother Thomas (Elizabeth) Bovill of Geneseo; stepchildren, Robert (Maureen) Dykes of Mendon, William (Sandy) Dykes of Penfield, Jayne (Terry) Villard of Parma; step-grandchildren, Elizabeth Dykes, John Dykes, Katie Dykes and Alex Villard; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Cora Howard Bovill in 1986. He was born Feb. 25, 1908 in Groveland the son of Joseph and Jennie (Noble) Bovill Sr. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Visitation was held Monday at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Disease Research Center, P.O. Box 645, Rochester NY 14642. Funeral services were held Oct. 8 at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home with Pastoral Assistant Lucille Kane of Geneseo United Methodist Church officiating. Burial, Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.

Laurie A. Bush

Laurie A. Bush, 41, of Lima, died Oct. 3, 2002 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. She was born the daughter of Collin and Flora Mae Ross Whitaker on July 17, 1961 in Rochester. She was employed at Star Headlight and Lantern Company in Avon for over 15 years. She was an avid sportswoman. She is survived by her mother Flora Mae (James Fraser) Asselin of Bloomfield; sisters, Jodie Asselin and Lisa Griffith; stepsisters, Dawn Bell and Cathy Fraser; several aunts, uncles, nieces including Kelly Drake. Friends called Monday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15 in Livonia. Funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. John Hayes officiating. Burial, N. Bloomfield Cemetery, Bloomfield, N.Y. In lieu of flowers friends wishing may make memorial contributions to Lima Fire Department and Ambulance Fund or the Honeoye Falls Fire Department and Ambulance Fund.

Michael C. Bush

Michael C. Bush, 41, of Lima, died suddenly Oct. 3, 2002 as the result of a motor vehicle accident. He was born the son of Charles and Patricia West Bush on Jan. 30, 1961 in Canandaigua. He was an employee of the Star Headlight and Lantern Company in Avon for the past 17 years, where he was a warehouse manager. He was predeceased by his father Charles in February of 2002. He was an avid sportsman, a member of the Big Tree Conservation in Groveland and the Springwater Rod and Gun Club. He is survived by his mother Patricia, his brother Charles Bush, both of Geneseo; aunts, Sharon (George) Fitzsimmons, Sheila (Larry) Cook, Annette (Thomas) Panipinto, Carole (Phil) Saunders, Joan Trescott; uncles, Frank (Betty) West and Joseph (Marion) West; several cousins. Friends called Monday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15 in Livonia. Funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Joseph's Church with the Rev. John Hayes officiating. Lorraine Dickinson (Harrington) Decker

Lorraine Dickinson (Harrington) Decker, 74, of Honeoye, died Oct. 5, 2002 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. She was born the daughter of Edward and Bertha Buehler Dickinson on July 29, 1928 in Rochester. She was a member of the Honeoye-Hemlock American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post #1278, Honeoye. She is survived by her children, Bonnie (Bill) Nolan, Becky (David) Reeves, James (Judy) Harrington, Barbara (Ron) Hamilton, John (Liz Cobb) Harrington and Lorrie (Freddie) Johnson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; sister Jane Welles. Friends may call Thursday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Briggs St., Honeoye where services will be held Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Brian Krause officiating. Gloria Donohue

Gloria Donohue, 79, of 600 Country Lane, Geneseo, formerly of Groveland, died Oct. 5, 2002 at the Livingston County Campus Skilled Nursing Facility in Mt. Morris. She was born the daughter of John and Esther (Kirgessner) Gerken on April 23, 1923 in Orchard Park, N.Y. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a Registered Nurse at the TB Hospital in Mt. Morris. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo and the Golden Angels of Groveland. She is survived by her two children, Edward (Catherine) Donohue of Groveland and Jacqueline Donohue of Mt. Morris; four grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Lou Brewer of Buffalo and Dorothy Buonanno of Akron; two brothers, Rev. Theodore Gerken of Germantown, N.Y. and David Gerken of Buffalo; and many nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Services and interment at the convenience of the family. Charles R. McFadden

Charles R. McFadden, 79, of Avon, died Oct. 2, 2002 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. He was born on Dec. 17, 1922 in Rochester the son of Bernard McFadden and Kathleen (Zyer) McFadden. He enjoyed gardening and golfing. He even made a hole-in-one at the LeRoy Country Club several years ago. He was employed by Avon Central School, Super Foods and was retired from Star Market where he worked as a supervisor for many years. He was a World War II Army Veteran and served as a paratrooper with the 82nd Airborne. He received a Purple Heart. Recently, at a ceremony in Canandaigua, he received the Jubilee of Liberty Award for his participation in the invasion of Normandy. He was predeceased by his son Charles McFadden in 1998. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Bea (Vahue) McFadden of Avon; sister-in-law Marge Vahue; his children, Susie McFadden of Avon, Don (Sue) McFadden of Avon, Kathleen Cole of Avon, Bruce (Terrie) McFadden of Avon, Michael (Eileen) McFadden of Scottsville, Rick (Eileen) McFadden of West Bloomfield, Trish (Marty) Herkimer of Avon, Meg (Matt) Holmes of Avon, Heather (Rick) Doudt of Avon, 25 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was held at St. Agnes Church in Avon with the Rev. Thomas Statt officiating. Interment, Avon Cemetery. Charles F. Mosher

Charles F. Mosher, “Chuck”, 82, of Honeoye, died Oct. 5, 2002 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born the son of Joseph and Charlotte Townsend Mosher on Jan. 30, 1920 in Bristol, N.Y. He was a World War II Navy Veteran and a retiree of the Local Operating Engineers Union #823. He was predeceased by his wife Flora in 2001. He is survived by his children, Joyce (Raymond) Munger of Honeoye, Elaine (Norman) Yott of Cape Vincent, N.Y., Carolyn (Charles) Carlson of Nunda, Linda (John) Callahan of Mt. Charles (Sharon) Mosher of Lakeville, James (Deborah) Mosher of Sarasota, Fla., Robert Mosher of Rome, N.Y.; 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren; sister Cora Mosher of Canandaigua; several nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Services will be private. Joyce Paige

Mrs. Joyce Paige, 87, died on September 26, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Mrs. Paige was born on August 29, 1915 in Bodmen, England. Mrs. Paige will be remembered for her kindness, caring and respect for others. She was a member of St. Agnes Church. She was predeceased by her husband Leo Vincent Paige in 1988. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Jill (Richard) Walter of Santee, CA; grandson Vincent Louis D'Amico of Santee, CA. Funeral services were held at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Avon. St. Agnes Church Pastoral Assistant, Barbara Swiecki, officiating. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery. Joseph J. Rumfola, Jr.

Mr. Joseph J. Rumfola, Jr., 87, died on October 5, 2002 at the Brightonian Nursing Home in Brighton. Mr. Rumfola was born on October 29, 1914 in Avon, the son of Joseph J. Rumfola, Sr. and Maria (Lubianco) Rumfola. He was a long time farmer in the Avon area. He was a member of St. Agnes Church, and enjoyed his family. Predeceased by his brother Tony Rumfola and sister Margaret Ciceri. He is survived by his wife, of 60 years, Anna (D'Angelo) Rumfola; son David (Sue) Rumfola; daughters Mary (Richard) Prinzi, Geraldine (Thomas) Ball; 6 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; brothers Sam (Angie) Rumfola; sister Dorothy (Joe) Ranallette; many sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. His Funeral Mass was held at St. Agnes Church. Rev. Thomas Statt officiating. Interment St. Agnes Cemetery. Diane Witkousky

Diane Witkousky, 54, of Conesus, died Oct. 6, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was born the daughter of Emmett and Florence Hufford Smith on Jan. 5, 1948 in Seneca Falls, N.Y. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Livonia. She was predeceased by her brother David Smith and niece Amy Beth Smith and nephew Darren Smith. She is survived by her husband Joseph of Conesus; sisters, Patricia (Fran) Stevenson and Portia Cox; brother Steven (Regina) Smith and sister-in-law Sally Smith; stepson Michael Witkousky; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15, Livonia. Her Memorial Service will be held Thursday at 6 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Livonia, Richmond Mills Road, Livonia Center with the Rev. Robert Kaiser officiating.
