Winifred M. Belcher Caskey

Winifred M. Belcher Caskey “Winnie”, 80, of House Road, WestBloomfield, died Oct. 22, 2002 at Ontario County Health Facility in Hopewell, N.Y. She was born the daughter of Albert and Sarah Ward Belcher on March 14, 1922 in Richmond, N.Y. Winnie was an avid bingo player. She is survived by her husband Leo; sisters, Beulah (Les) Dugar of Bloomfield, Beatrice “Betty” Wesley of Hemlock; brother Marion “Pete” Belcher of Bloomfield; sisters-in-law, Mabel Belcher of West Bloomfield, Grace Belcher Brown of Florida, Violet Belcher of Arizona, Elizabeth Stumbo of Lima, Jenny (Jim) Sullivan of Honeoye; several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4, 7-9 at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Route 15 in Livonia where funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Ed Kennedy officiating. Burial, West Bloomfield Cemetery. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the Ontario County Health Facility Activities Fund, 3062 County Complex Dr., Canandaigua NY 14424.

Trevor M. Dalton

Trevor M. Dalton, 19, of Avon, died at his home on Oct. 20, 2002. Trevor was born June 25, 1983 at home in Avon to Timothy Dalton and Lori (Bruckner) Meath. Trevor enjoyed children and skateboarding. He will be sadly missed by his family; Tim Dalton and Margie Gauthier, Lori and Michael Meath, Matthew and Ginger Dalton of GA, Leah, Emily, Grayson and Callen Dalton and Kody Toepper at home; grandparents, Frank and Merilee Mobillo, Bruce and Ginny Bruckner; aunts Liana (Mark) Gooding, Lisa Parker; cousins, Chris, Ian, Jared. The family will receive friends Friday 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. at the Stephenson-Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., 350 Genesee St., Avon. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 10:30 A.M. at St. Agnes Church, Avon. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 139 S. Mary S. Dietsche

Mary S. Dietsche, 89, a retired kindergarten teacher for the Elmira, N.Y. School District, died Oct. 21, 2002 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. Mrs. Dietsche lived on Servis Road in Geneseo prior to her admission to the skilled nursing facility. She is survived by her husband James Dietsche of Geneseo; daughter Christina (David) Klosner of Canton, N.Y.; two sons, James (Diana) Dietsche of Pembrook, Pa. and Alan Dietsche of Geneseo; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; sister Barbara Johnson of Elmira, N.Y.; brother Samuel (Helen) Servis of Silver City, N.M.; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter Susan Dietsche. She was born June 18, 1913 in Geneseo, the daughter of Edward and Mary (Robinson) Servis. She was a member of the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo. Visitation to be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Wednesday Oct. 23 from 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Geneseo Foundation, SUNY Geneseo, Erwin 202, Geneseo NY 14454 or the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility Activities Fund, 4223 Lakeville Rd., Geneseo NY 14454. Funeral services will be held Oct. 24 at 10:00 a.m. at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home with Rev. Kathy Stimson of the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo officiating. Burial, Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.

Walter James Gillett

Walter James Gillett, 100, of Lima, died Oct. 15, 2002 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born the son of Robert and Louisa Mowbray Gillett on Dec. 27, 1901 in Auburn, N.Y. He retired from the U.S. Coast Guard in 1952 after serving 25 years. He also retired from Eastman Kodak Company in Rochester, where he worked for 14-1/2 years. He was predeceased by his wife Theda. He is survived by his daughters, Nancy (John) Pillsbury of Texas, Celeste (Robert) Saunders of Lima; grandchildren, Sheryl Egner, Kimberly (Steve) Peterson, Michael (Tracy) Pillsbury, Karen Wiley, Robert Saunders; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. No prior calling. Friends attended graveside services Oct. 17 at Whitehaven Memorial Park in Perinton. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the Lima Ambulance Fund. Robert C. Hand

Robert C. Hand, 66, of York died Oct. 19, 2002 at the VA Medical Center in Batavia. Robert was born Feb. 10, 1936 in Suffern, N.Y. to Kenneth and Kathryn (Harris) Hand. He worked for Livingston County as a plumber. Robert served in the US Marines and was a member of the York Memorial VFW Post 634. He is survived by his wife, Judy; children, Marcy Hand of Rochester, Heather Hand of Cohocton, Holly Hand of Rochester, Douglas Hand of Rochester; stepsons, Jeff (Kathy) Henry of LeRoy, Scott, Henry of Bristol; many grandchildren; brothers, Emil Klaver of Avon, Louis Gardner of North Carolina, Terry Gardner of Rochester; several nieces and nephews. A celebration of Bob's life was held on Wednesday from 7-9 p.m. at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main Street, Caledonia. Private Graveside Service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the York Sportsman Club, 2883 Craig Rd., Piffard NY 14533.

Thomas J. McLinden

Thomas J. McLinden, 84. of 4575 County Road 33, Honeoye, died Oct. 19, 2002 at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He was born on Dec. 3, 1917 in Scotland the son of John and Ann (McArdle) McLinden. Prior to his retirement in 1982, he was employed as a machinist at Eastman Kodak for 10 years. He had also worked as a LPN at Mount Fury Hospital in New York City. He was a veteran of the Army in World War II. He was a member of the Lima American Legion Post. He is survived by his wife of 27 years Anna May; two sisters, Mary Graham and Sheila Cunningham, both of Florida; nieces and nephews. No Prior Calling. Funeral Mass was held Tuesday at St. Mary's Church, Honeoye with the Rev. Edward Zenkel officiating. Interment Cooper Cemetery, Coopers Plain, N.Y. Memorials may be made to the Richmond Ambulance Fund. Arrangements by the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc. in Honeoye.

Hazen W. Wright

Hazen W. Wright, 89, a retired maintenance specialist at General Foods in Avon, where he worked for 22 years, died Oct. 16, 2002 at the Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw. Mr. Wright resided on Genesee St. in Piffard. He is survived by his wife Mary Argenta Wright and son Dennis Argenta, both of Piffard. He was born April 25, 1913 in Springwater, the son of Frank and Nora (Pierce) Wright. He retired from General Foods in Avon in 1975. Memorials may be made to Retsof Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 92, Retsof NY 14539. No prior calling hours. Private funeral services were held Oct. 18 at St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo with Pastoral Assistant Mabel Treadwell officiating.
