William L. Bowe

William L. Bowe, January 20, 2001 passed away in Boynton Beach, Fla. at age 86. Memorial service will be held Saturday Oct. 27, 2001 at 10 a.m. at the KEVIN W. DOUGHERTY FUNERAL HOME, INC. 21 Big Tree St. (Routes 15 & 20A) Livonia. In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Livonia Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 179 , Livonia, NY 14487.

Ernest L. Gates

Ernest L. Gates, 91, lifelong York resident and well-known farmer, died Oct. 18, 2001, at Highland Hospital in Rochester. Mr. Gates was a member of the York-Leicester Senior Citizens Group. He is survived by his children and their spouses, Carol (John) Taylor of Fowlerville, Thomas (Sharon) Gates of York, Laura Jeanne (Raymond) Paulsen of Waterloo, N.Y., Norman Gates of York, Joyce (Robert) Hoppough of Honeoye, Linda (Thomas) Kenney of Chicago, Ill.; 13 grandchildren, Janet (John) Craft, Karen (John) Weldon, Jason (Audrey) Taylor, Melissa (Steven) Mack, Thomas (Donna) Gates, Katrina (Michael) Hannah, Clark Gates, Daniel Paulsen, Jodie MacGill, Suzanne (William) Bundschuh, Robert Hoppough, Matthew Kenney, Andrew Kenney; 29 great grandchildren; sisters, Louise Oltman of Caledonia, Mildred (Vincent) Melfi of Scottsville, Jeanne (James ) Harrigan of Mumford,; sister-in-law Lorraine Gates of Wadsworth; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Evelyn in June 2001, his sisters, Margaret (William) Smith, Gertrude Gates and Dorothy James, and brother Merton Gates. He was born March 12, 1910, in York, the son of Thomas and Verna (Coolidge) Gates. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Saturday. Memorials may be made to the York Fire Dept., Box 95, York NY 14592 or Covington United Presbyterian Church, 1701 Craig Rd., Pavilion NY 14525. Funeral Services were held Oct. 21 at Covington United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Ray Lindquist officiating. Burial, Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.

Lucille George Mackey

Lucille George Mackey, 86, of Mt. Morris-Dansville, died Oct. 22, 2001 at Kirk Haven Nursing Home in Rochester. She was born the daughter of Clarence C. and Helen J. (Donovan) George on Oct. 3, 1915 in Sheldon, N.Y. She was a graduate of the Craig Colony Nursing School in Sonyea in 1935. Prior to her retirement in 1972 she was Supervising Nurse at Craig Developmental in Sonyea in the Bluette Division where she was employed for over 40 years. She was a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris where she belonged to the Rosary Society. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Dansville, CSEA and the New York State Retiree's Association. She is survived by her two sons, Gordon (Lynette) Mackey of Mt. Morris, Paul (Cheryl) Mackey of Liverpool, NY. one Son-in-law Richard Burger of Dansville. 6 Grandchildren Rhonda (Robert) Matthews of Pittsford, Randy Burger of AZ., Paula (Troy) Samson and Gary Mackey, both of Rochester and Karyn Mackey of Syracuse and Amy Mackey of Liverpool; three great grandchildren, Robert, Steven and Chelsea Matthews, all of Pittsford; three brothers, Paul (Edith) George of Fla., Vincent George and Donald (Shirley) George, both Mt. Morris; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gordon in 1988, her daughter Patricia Burger in 2000, one brother Francis and two sisters, Agnes Porter and Marion Wade. Friends called Wednesday at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street (Route 408), Mt. Morris where prayers will be said Thursday at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 a.m. in St. Patrick's Church., with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Burial St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either St. Patrick's Church Home & Heart Project, Stanley St, Mt. Morris, NY 14510 or St. Mary's School, Elizabeth St., Dansville, NY 14435.

Grace M. Neuhaus

Grace M. Neuhaus, 79, of 600 Country Lane, Geneseo, died Oct. 16, 2001, at St. Mary's Hospice in Rochester. She was born the Daughter of Elon and Virgie (Patitengale) on April 16, 1922, in Lancaster, N.Y. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a seamstress at Champion Products in Geneseo. She is survived by her five children, Norman (Carol) Neuhaus of Jupiter, Fla., Catherine Leach of Retsof, Dorothy (David) Smith of Mt. Morris, Arlene (Rick Scott) Neuhaus of Rochester and Linda (Jim) Clark of West Palm Beach, Fla.; 16 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Elon (Leona) Koch Jr. of Clarence and Norman (Joan) Koch of Corfu; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, son John and brother Floyd. Friends called Friday at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, Inc., 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Services were held Saturday at the York Presbyterian Church. Burial, Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York. Memorials may be made to the American Kidney Foundation or the Rochester Hospice, 70 Metro Park, Rochester NY 14623.

Jordan Pauline Stahl

Jordan Pauline Stahl, infant daughter of Timothy and Amy Johnson Stahl of Lima, passed Oct. 16, 2001, at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She is survived by her grandparents, Bruce and Sherry Johnson of Livonia, Jim and Mary Jo Stahl of Honeoye Falls; great grandmother Bertha Donlon of Lima; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends attended services Sunday at the United Methodist Church of Livonia, Spring St., in Livonia with the Rev. Tim Hazlett officiating. In lieu of flowers friends wishing may make memorial contributions to a charity of ones choice. Arrangements by the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc.

Joseph McKinley Stock

Joseph McKinley Stock, infant son of Christopher Stock and Taryn Lincoln passed Oct. 14, 2001 at F.F. Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua. He is also survived by his grandparents, Patricia (Ken) Cornish-Gilbert of York, Harold Lincoln III of Honeoye, Sharon (Ray) Lesio of Bloomfield, Edward (Linda) Stock of Lyndonville, N.Y.; great grandparents, Harold (Sue) Lincoln II of Bristol, Normalee Schrieber of Honeoye, June Cox of Honeoye; several aunts, uncles and many family members. Family received friends Saturday morning at Raymond's Valley Inn, Route 20A in Honeoye for a service and a time of fellowship. Bernice Marie Vock

Bernice Marie Vock, 88, of Mt. Morris died Oct. 21, 2001 at the Livingston County Campus Skilled Nursing Facility in Mt. Morris. She was born the daughter of Chauncy and Charlotte (Johnson) Stimson on Oct. 16, 1913 in Neupet, N.Y. She is survived by her brother Kitt Stimson of Geneseo; nieces and nephews, including one special niece Martha (Carl) Fuller of York. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence and brother Kermit. No Prior Calling. Funeral services and interment at the convenience of the family. Memorials may be made to ones favorite charity. Arrangements by the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, Mt. Morris.

June M. Woodruff

June M. Woodruff, 99, of 122 Raleigh Street, Rochester, died Oct. 19, 2001 at Park Ridge Living Center in Rochester. She was born the daughter of Richard and Maude Mahon on June 17, 1902 in Governeur, N.Y. Prior to her retirement in 1961 she owned and operated along with her husband John, the Livingston Inn at McPhersons Point on Conesus Lake, which was run by the family for nearly 50 years. She is survived by her 2 sons John M. (Wynne) Woodruff and Donald M. (Janice) Woodruff both of Livonia. 7 Grandchildren, 20 Great grandchildren and 4 Great-Great Grandchildren. Nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband John in 1970. No prior calling. Services and Interment to be held at the convenience of the family.
