Jack Edward Boyd

Honeoye - Jack Edward Boyd (Eddie), 65, died Oct. 28, 2006 at his home. He was born the son of Edward and Edith Plain on June 9, 1941 in Richmond, N.Y. He was predeceased by his mother and stepfather, Edith and Joe Karins, brother-in-law James Swingle, mother-in-law Carole Earle and niece Pam Parker. He is survived by his wife Cynthia (Schneider); daughters Cynthia L. Boyd and Jacqueline (John) White of Honeoye; sons, Lawrence of Honeoye and Marine Lance Cpl. George of North Carolina; grandchildren, Kevin and Matt Roelofs of Honeoye; brothers, Richard (Pat) of Georgia, Mike (Wanda) of Honeoye; sister Joanne (Red) Parker of Canandaigua and Pat Swingle of Honeoye; sister-in-law Georgia Schneider of California and brother-in-law William (Wendy) Schneider of Bloomfield; father-in-law Thomas Earle of Scottsville; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call Thursday 1-3 p.m. and 5-7 p.m. at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Briggs St. in Honeoye. Funeral Services will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to the Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 PreEmption Road, Geneva NY.

Mary Elizabeth Burcz

Mary Elizabeth “BETTY” (Tuso) Burcz, 59, of 15 State St., Mt. Morris, died Oct. 28, 2006 at Highland Hospital in Rochester. She was born on June 20, 1947 in Dansville, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Frisk) Tuso. She graduated from Mt. Morris Central in 1965 and received her nursing degree from St. Joseph's Hospital in Elmira in 1968. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Wyoming County Community Hospital in Warsaw and Highland Hospital in Rochester. She married Vincent Burcz on May 12, 1973. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Vincent; two children, Karen (Michael) Byrne and Matthew Burcz, both of Mt. Morris; two nieces and one nephew. Friends called Tuesday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St., (Route 408), in Mt. Morris where prayers were said Wednesday at 10 a.m. followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery. Reta E. Whiteman

Livonia - Reta E. Whiteman, 87, died Oct. 28, 2006. She was born the daughter of Ernest and Mae Jackson Peck on June 18, 1919 in Livonia. She was a member of the United Church of Livonia, the Hemlock Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was predeceased by her husband Howard in 1980. She is survived by her children, Barbara Nowak of Penn Yan, Mildred Colburn of Willard, N.Y., Donna (Hugh) Cunningham of Romulus, Sharon (John Kelsey) Fulkrod of Geneva and Becky (Jerry) Turybury of Leicester; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; brother Elwood (Ruth Ann) Peck of Livonia; several nieces and nephews. Friends called Tuesday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Inc., Routes 15 and 20A in Livonia where Services were held Wednesday. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the Hemlock Fire Department, Hemlock NY 14466.
