Philip James Andrews

Air Force veteran

Philip James Andrews, 50, of 7783 Dutch Street Road, Mt. Morris died Nov. 21, 2004 at his home. He was born on Aug. 25, 1954. He was employed as a Mechanic for the Wilmorite Corporation in Pittsford. He was a veteran of the Air Force from 1976 to 1980 where he was a Sergeant. He is survived by his wife Pamela; two sons, Chad and Travis Andrews, both of Mt. Morris; father Michael Andrews of Warsaw; sister Mary (William) Lohrmann of Dansville; one brother John Andrews of Leicester; four sisters-in-law, Rhonda Lown of Mt. Morris, Charleen Vonek of Idaho, Cathy (Joe) Conrad of Dansville and Jodi Lown of Mt. Morris; father-in-law Bill (Gloria) Lown of Bolivar; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Mary N. Andrews. Friends called Tuesday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408), Mt. Morris where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Deacon George Spezzano officiating. Interment, Leicester Cemetery. Thornton E. Holbrook

World War II veteran

Thornton E. Holbrook, 89, a retired electrician for Foster Wheeler Energy Corporation in Dansville, where he worked for 40 years, died Nov. 20, 2004 at the Livingston County Skilled Nursing Facility in Geneseo. Mr. Holbrook resided on Scottsburg Road in Groveland prior to his entry into the nursing home. He is survived by two daughters, Barbara Holbrook of Orlando, Fla., and Kathleen Holbrook of Geneseo; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife Mary Tarbett Holbrook in 1995, who he married on Nov. 23, 1940. He was born June 3, 1915 in Conesus, the son of Murray and Clara Blekkenk Holbrook. He attended Houghton College and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Nov. 23. Funeral Services will be held Nov. 24 at 10 a.m. at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home with Rev. Sally Glassbrook on the Groveland Federated Parish officiating. Burial, Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland with Military Honors. Memorials may be made to Sparta First Presbyterian Church, 4681 Scottsburg Rd., Groveland NY 14462 or the Dansville Ambulance Fund, P.O. Elizabeth A. Watson

Leicester resident

Elizabeth A. Watson, 66, of Main St. in Leicester, died Nov. 19, 2004 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. She was predeceased by her husband William Watson in November 1999. She is survived by her children, Joanne (William) Kershner of Dansville, Jody (Carolyn Olinger) Watson of Henrietta, Jamie (Aimy) Watson of Leicester; seven grandchildren; brothers, Paul (Pat) Phillips of Dansville, Ronald (Linda) Phillips of Attica, Allen (Carol) Phillips of Canaseraga; sisters, Marie (Russell) Nichols of Swain, Lois Phillips of Dalton; brother-in-law William Kerr of Henrietta; many nieces and nephews. She was born March 31, 1938 in Burns, N.Y., the daughter of Charles and Frances Dress Phillips. She was a graduate of Geneseo State Teachers College. Visitation was held Nov. 21 at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services were held Nov. 22 with Rev. Richard Kuhn of St. Peters Episcopal Church of Dansville officiating. Burial, Leicester Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cuylerville Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 247, Leicester NY 14481.
