Arthur C. Manzek Jr.

Livonia resident

Arthur C. Manzek Jr., 58, of Densmore Road in Livonia, died Dec. 7, 2006 at Teresa House in Geneseo after a short illness. He was born in Rochester March 7, 1948 the son of Arthur Manzek Sr. and Caroline Helfer. He was a retired employee of Bank of America in Los Angeles, Calif. After retirement he spent part of the year in Livonia and the remaining months in California. He was a 1966 graduate of Livonia Central School and enjoyed the outdoors very much. He was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his sisters, Carol Manzek of Lima and Sheila Manzek of Wisconsin; his brother John Manzek of Tennessee; two nieces and two nephews. Friends called Sunday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Route 15 in Livonia where services were held on Monday with the Rev. John H. Hayes officiating. Burial, Riverside Cemetery in Rochester. Madeline T. McGinley

Former Geneseo and Piffard resident

Madeline T. McGinley, 92, a resident of the Heritage Assisted Living Community of St. Ann's Home in Rochester, died there on Dec. 7, 2006. Mrs. McGinley was a former resident of Country Lane in Geneseo and Genesee St. in Piffard. She is survived by her sister Dorothea Butch of Rochester; nieces, Maureen (David) Kimball and Kathleen (Glenn) Matson, both of New Jersey; nephew James (Rita) Carey of Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband Sylvester McGinley in 1980. She was born July 31, 1914 in the Bronx, N.Y. the daughter of Cornelius and Madeline Leonard Carey. Mrs. McGinley was a longtime hostess and receptionist at the visitors' center of the Abbey of the Genesee Monastery in Piffard. She was a former member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo and St. Lucy's Church in Retsof. While in Geneseo she was a member of the Young at Heart Club. No prior calling hours. Funeral services were held Dec. 11 at the Abbey of the Genesee. Burial will be in the Abbey of the Genesee Cemetery. John T. Temperato

Avon resident

John Temperato, 89, died suddenly, Dec. 11, 2006, at his home. He was born in Avon June 21, 1917 the son of Dominic Temperato and Michelangela Madonia. He founded and operated the Avondale Restaurant, was a former operator of the Avon Inn, and the Mt. Morris Inn and was a longtime employee at Radesi's Restaurant in Geneseo. He retired from the Irondequoit Country Club after many years of service. John was a former member of the Avon Rotary Club. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Angeline “Rickey” D'Angelo Temperato; children, Donald (Laura) Temperato of Hinckley, Ohio, Lynn (Donald) Farrell of Avon, John (Cindy) Temperato of Covington, La., and Pastor Mark (Rhonda) Temperato of Lakeville; grandchildren, Kristie and Pietro Furgluele, Andy and Rebecca Temperato, Chad and Andrea Russell, Tracy and Peter Lewis, John Temperato, Lyle Russell, David, Lisa, Michael and Marky Temperato; great grandchildren, Vicky and Andrew Temperato and Joshua Lewis; many nephews and nieces including his precious niece Cherie Snyder of Avon. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the New Life Family Church, Route 15 in Lakeville (south of Fratelli's). where Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. Burial, St. Agnes Cemetery in Avon. Penny M. O'Dea Washburn

Rush resident

Penny M. O'Dea Washburn, 44, of East River Road in Rush, died suddenly Dec. 4, 2006 at her home. She was born in Canandaigua Nov. 1, 1962 to James O'Dea and Anne Struble. She was predeceased by her father. She was a member of the Conesus Lake Sportsmen's Club. She is survived by her husband Robert Washburn; her grandfather Mert Fletcher of Rochester; her siblings, Patrick (Celeste) O'Dea of Livonia, Wendy O'Dea of Santa Monica, Calif. and Kenneth (Diane) Farrell of Avon; her aunts and uncles, Carol O'Dea of Avon, Steve (Sue) O'Dea of Medina and Danny (Marsha) O'Dea of Lima; several cousins. Friends called Thursday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home, Routes 15 and and 20A in Livonia, where Funeral Services were held at the conclusion of calling hours. Burial, Pine Hill Cemetery in Rush. Friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the Rush Ambulance Fund.

Audrey S. White

Geneseo resident

Audrey S. White, 87, died peacefully Dec. 3, 2006 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia surrounded by her family. Miss White resided on Country Lane in Geneseo prior to her entry into the nursing home and was previously from Massachusetts. She is survived by her niece Claire (Jim) Chen of Geneseo; brother John (Eleanor) White of Danville, Vt.; sister-in-law Cynthia White of Hilton Head, S.C.; many additional loving family members. She was preceded in death by her sister Nathalie Coleman. She was born Dec. 1, 1919 in New York City, the daughter of Francis and Nathalie Wood White. No prior calling hours. Audrey's life will be celebrated privately by her family. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo. Memorials may be made to the Teresa House, 21 Highland Rd., Geneseo NY 14454.
