Gerald T. Callan “Jake”

Gerald T. Callan, 72, of Caledonia, died Dec. 4, 2001, at his home after a short illness. He was born April 14, 1929 in Batavia to Francis and Florence (Stoddard) Callan. Gerald served in the U.S. Armed Forces from 1950-1952. He worked for B. R. DeWitt Company in Spencerport as a truck driver for 28 years. He was an avid golfer and had a Hole-in-One on Jan. 8, 1993 at Glen Oaks Golf Course in Clearwater, Fla. He won four trophies playing shuffleboard. Gerald was a post commander of the V.F.W. Post 6591 in Mumford. He was named National Aide-de-Camp on Feb. 28, 1963. Gerald was a member of the Cal-Mum Football Boosters Club, and a member of AA since June 6, 1987. He enjoyed playing Euchre. He is survived by his wife, Betty, of Caledonia; daughters and son-in-law, Karen and Richard White of Leicester, Judy Lawson of York; sons, Casey Callan of Caledonia; grandchildren, Casey, Chad and Todd Estabrooks, Rich White III, Brandi and Joe Lawson, Kellie, Tim, Jacob and Maggie Callan; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Millie Callan of Semonle, Fla.; brother-in-law Dean Fisher of Clifton; and sister-in-law Joyce Morrison. Friends called Dec. 7 at the Alhart Funeral Home, 3068 W. Main St. in Caledonia. His Funeral Mass was held Dec. 8 at St. Columba Church. Interment, Maplegrove Cemetery, Clifton. Margaret M. Cicero (Rumfola)

Margaret M. Cicero (Rumfola), 85, of Cadyville Road in Livonia, died Dec. 9, 2001 at her home. She was born the daughter of Joseph and Mary Lobianco Rumfola on March 25, 1916 in Avon. She was a member of St. Joseph's Church in Livonia. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph on Dec. 17, 1979 and also her brother Tony Rumfola and son-in-law Donald McClary. She is survived by her son Joseph (Nancy) Cicero; daughters, Mary (Val) Heri, Peggy (Chester) Barton, Carol Ann McClary; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; brother Sam (Angie) Rumfola, Joe (Anna) Rumfola; sister Dorothy (Joe) Ranallette; and many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews. Friends called Tuesday and Wednesday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15 in Livonia. Her Funeral Mass was held Thursday at St. Joseph's Church in Livonia with the Rev. John H. Hayes officiating. Burial, St. Michael's Cemetery in Livonia. In lieu of flowers, friends wishing may make memorial contributions to the Livingston County Hospice Fund, 2 County Campus, Mt. David W. Coe

David W. Coe, 66, of Route 15, Livonia, died Dec. 14, 2001 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was born the son of John and Ruth Pulleyn Coe on April 21, 1935, in Livonia. He was a self-employed electrician and was also a former employee of Rochester Gas & Electric. He was predeceased by his son David in 1980. He is survived by his wife Nancy; his children, Susan (Thomas) Greer of Bloomfield, Kevin (Lori) Coe of Avoca, Julie (Art) Shaffer of Conesus, Bonny (Willis) Brown of Canisteo; nine grandchildren; sister Sharon (Gerald) Noll of Conesus; brother Jack (Judy) Coe of Rush; and several nieces and nephews. Friends called Sunday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15, in Livonia where services were held Monday. Burial, Arnold Cemetery in Conesus. Ellen P. Miksic

Ellen P. Miksic, 83, of Middle Road in Canadice, died Dec. 6, 2001 in Norristown, Pa. She was born the daughter of Leslie and Mary Doolittle Paine on March 14, 1918 in Canadice. She was a member of the Canadice Methodist Church and its choir. She was predeceased by her husband John. She is survived by her sons John (Heimun) Miksic of Singapore, Stephen (Theresa) Miksic of Norristown, Pa.; grandchildren Ezra Miksic, Emily, Vonya and Jesse Miksic; brother Norman (Jane) Paine of Florida; and several nieces and nephews. Friends called Thursday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Briggs St. in Honeoye. Funeral Service was held Saturday at the Canadice Methodist Church. Burial, Canadice Cemetery. Betty L. Olyer

Betty L. Olyer, 49, of Warsaw and formerly of South Lima, died Dec. 13, 2001, at Wyoming Community Hospital in Warsaw. She was born the daughter of Morris and Ethel Borden Olyer on Jan. 13, 1952 in Olean, N.Y. She was a clerk at Loving Hearts store in Warsaw. She was predeceased by her father Morris in 1999. She is survived by her mother Ethel of South Lima; her sisters, Diana (Art) Price of Cuylerville, Laura (Wayne) Holbrook of Dansville, Bev Olyer of South Lima; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Friends called Monday at the Kevin W. Dougherty Funeral Home Inc., Route 15 in Livonia where funeral services were held Tuesday with the Rev. Ben Dodzweit officiating. Blaine Allen Shaw

Blaine Allen Shaw, 93, of Avon, formerly of Niagara Falls, N.Y. died Dec. 13, 2001 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia. He was born Feb. 2, 1908 in Clearfield, Pa., the son of Roy and Sophia Shaw. Blaine was a retired production supervisor for the Carborundum Corp. in Niagara Falls. He retired in 1973 after 38 years. He was a member of the St. James United Methodist Church and was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Niagara Falls. He is survived by two daughters, Carrie (Arthur) Groppe of York Harbor, Maine and Linda (Philip) Murphy of Tolland, Conn.; one son William A. (Donna) Shaw of Avon; eight grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren; one brother John C. (Jane) Shaw of Jacksonville, Fla. He was predeceased by his wife Naomi Shaw and dear friend Mildred McHenry. Funeral service and interment were held Saturday at Acacia Park, North Tonawanda, N.Y. with Rev. David W. John W. Toole Jr.

John W. Toole Jr., 55, of Big Tree St. in Livonia, died Dec. 14, 2001, at the Teresa House in Geneseo. He was born the son of John and Kathryn Allen Toole Sr. on Feb. 10, 1946 in Clifton Springs, N.Y. He was a retiree of the Army after 26 years of service. He is survived by his children, Teresa (David) Sherman of North Syracuse, Trisha (Rob) Sparks of Conesus, Frank Toole of Tennessee, Gina Toole of Tennessee; his mother Kathryn Toole of Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren; sisters, Nadine and Kathy; brother Frank Toole.
