Margaret Brew Allen (Giles)

Scottsville resident

Margaret Brew Allen (Giles) of Scottsville entered into rest Dec. 17, 2004. She was born in 1920 in Wheatland, N.Y. Her parents were Edith and Elroy Giles. She attended the one room school house on South Road and Scottsville High School. Margaret began her career as a local telephone operator in Scottsville. She worked there until the office closed. She then worked for the Wheatland-Chili School District until retirement. Margaret enjoyed many hobbies, especially her art work. She enjoyed stone masonry. Her work is still visible in the area. She was predeceased by her daughter Donna Brew Beaumont, brother Martin Giles, sisters, Marion Armstrong and Ethel Barkley. She is survived by daughter Sandra Brew Shell of Oregon; sister Marjorie Laney; grandchildren, Gary Lumis of Caledonia, Heidi Peterson of California; three great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Margaret will be held in April 2005. Contributions may be made to the donor's choice. Arrangements: J. H. Cameron Funeral Home, Scottsville.

Linda L. Dickson

Geneseo resident

Linda L. Dickson, 57, of Lakeville-Groveland Road in Geneseo, died Dec. 22, 2004 at her residence. Mrs. Dickson had previously resided in Groveland. She is survived by one daughter Sherry (Ron) Nourse of Retsof; one son G. Bryan Dickson of Kalamazoo, Mich.; one granddaughter Hazel Rose Nourse of Retsof; four brothers, William Dieter, Terry (Jean) Dieter, Ricky Dieter, and Dwight (Chris) Dieter; seven sisters, June (Duane) Dennis, Flora (James) Cook, Louise Davis, Cookie (Mel) Curren, Sharon (James) Kelly, Bonnie (Philip) Guiles, and Vicky (Neil) Stoddard; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husbands, G. Bryan Dickson and James Sullivan. She was born Oct. 14, 1947 in Hornell, N.Y. the daughter of William and Hazel Dyke Dieter. Visitation was held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Dec. 23 where Funeral Services were held following calling with the Rev. Sally Glassbrook of the Groveland Federated Parish officiating. Memorials may be made to Livingston County Hospice, Livingston County Campus, Bldg. #2, Mt. Morris NY 14510.

Genevieve L. Kane

Leicester resident

Genevieve L. Kane, 87, of 58 Main St., Leicester, died Dec. 23, 2004 at the Livingston County Campus Skilled Nursing Facility in Mt. Morris. She was born on Dec. 17, 1917 in Leicester, the daughter of James and Edna Gill. She was a member of the Leicester Presbyterian Church. She is survived by her son William (Karen) Kane of Leicester; four grandchildren, James, Donald, Kara and Tina Kane, all of Leicester; sister-in-law Harriet Meyers of Perry; brother-in-law Richard (Pat) Kane of Leicester; nieces and nephews. Friends called Sunday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408), Mt. Morris, where Funeral Services were held Monday. Interment Leicester Cemetery. Angeline S. Levey

Mt. Morris resident

Angeline S. Levey, 87, of 14 Prospect St., Mt. Morris, died Dec. 23, 2004 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. She was born the daughter of Angelo and Josephine (Gioia) DeCaro on Aug. 13, 1917 in Mt. Morris. Prior to her retirement she was employed at Mallory Timers in Mt. Morris, she had also worked at the Perry Knitting Mill and Curtis Burns canning factory. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church. She is survived by her three children, Leon L. Levey of Penfield, Diana (Tony) Torcello and Elaine Piraino, both of Mt. Morris; grandchildren, Wendy (Neil) Lawther of Perinton, Chris (Christine) Levey of East Rochester, Laurie (Ted) Rodwell of Dalton, Mark Torcello of Mt. Morris and Tammy (Mike Englert) Torcello of Geneseo; five great grandchildren, Abigail Levey, Owen and Rhys Lawther, Alecia and Nicholas Torcello; two sisters, Theresa Guzzardi of Mt. Morris and Frances Cirri of Rochester; one brother Larry (Carole) Gerace of Mt. Morris; several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband Leon B. in 1984, grandson Joey Piraino in 1982, sister Carmella and three brothers, Tony, Joey and Angelo. Friends called Sunday at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408), Mt. Morris where prayers were said Monday followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Patrick's Church with the Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Norma L. Lokken

Norma L. Lokken, 83, of Mulberry, died Dec. 16, 2004 at her residence. She was born March 25, 1921 in East Groveland, N.Y. She was a clerk for a government office and moved to Florida in 1973. She was Methodist. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold. He was the Public Works director for Dade City from 1973 to 1983. Survivors of Ms. Lokken include three sons, Timothy and his wife Sharon of Lakeland, Terry and his wife Carolyn of Akron, N.Y, Todd and his wife Paula of LeRoy, N.Y.; one daughter, Laurie Brown (Howard) of Greenvally, Ariz.; one sister Marion Marshall (Howard) of Avon; seven grandchildren. A Memorial Service was held Dec. 20 at Oakley Funeral Home, 11441 Highway 301, Dade City, Fla. 33525. Family request donations be made to the Groveland Federated Parish in Groveland NY 14462 and to the American Cancer Society.
