The calf man cometh

As a neophyte history writer at the Clarion's inception, the thrill of a newspaper being born offered weekly shockwaves and challenges.

Often the routines of life make a less lasting impression than a once-in-a-lifetime high point. I will forever be grateful to the Clarion for my being selected from 300 auditioning men, Geneseo's finest, for a role in the Full Monty. I never will concede that my lithe figure at the fountain splashdown was diminished by the more muscular Hop Sing, Dick Hatheway, and Rev. Bill Gordinier. Offense "was" taken to Editor Strong's physique blocking my finest feature, my muscular calves.

Congratulations to the Clarion. Scholars of the new millennium will find your issues useful for research.
