The
people's choice in Livingston County... and beyond!
|
||
I want to congratulate the Clarion Newspaper on its 10th anniversary. Corrin reminded me to remember my roots and rightly so.
As I've told him many times, I'm not sure if I should thank the Clarion or blame it for its part in my career choices.
As many may remember, I started writing a column in the early days of the Clarion on the Town of Conesus happenings. This required me to attend town meetings, etc. One thing led to another. I found myself on the Board of Assessment Review, then on the Town Board for four years and now I am in my fourth year as Town Supervisor.
I had always had an interest in government but writing for the Clarion was a stepping stone in my obtaining a position serving my community and county that I would never have thought possible
I am quite sure I wouldn't be where I am today without those Clarion roots and I really do thank them, especially Bob Savage, whom I initially worked for, and of course Corrin.
Thanks and continued success.
