Thanks go to Bob Savage (first) and Corrin Strong (ever since) for providing the opportunity to expand upon lake and environmental issues and to promote lake-related organizations and associated activities.
Corrin has also given me the freedom to use my soapbox on occasion regarding issues and frustrations such as the old salt mine, the new salt mine, the stupid (non) relationship between the DOT and the DEC, the hollow leadership of our Numero Uno in Washington (ah, but he feels our pain!), etc.
What has been interesting is some of the resulting phone calls following certain columns; some are kudos and some take me to task. I relish both.
